Delete Your Account

This page explains how users of the Placer app can request deletion of their account and all associated personal data. You can do this directly inside the app or by contacting us — both methods are described below.

✉️ Submit a deletion request

To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact our privacy team by email. Please include the mobile phone number linked to your Placer account so we can locate and delete the correct data.

We will respond to all deletion requests within 5 business days to confirm receipt, and complete the deletion within 30 days as required by the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL).

🗂️ What data is deleted

When your account is deleted — by either method above — the following data is removed from our systems:

Mobile phone number (account identifier) Deleted Purged within 30 days of deletion request
Device push notification token Deleted Removed immediately on account deletion
Location data Never stored Not applicable — processed in real time only and never retained on our servers
Backup copies Deleted Purged from backup systems within 30 days
Timeline. We initiate deletion within 14 days of your request and complete permanent purging within 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required by applicable law.
